Dante Restaurant
Buona sera, and welcome to Dante's. Before placing your order, may we take a moment of your time to give you a brief history of our restaurant. In April of 1953, Carmine and Patricia Piacentini had a vision of opening a restuarant which served fine Italian cuisine. That vision became a reality. The name was chose in honor of Carmine's younger brother, Dante, who was lost at sea during the Second World War. Carmine and Patricia have two children, Peter, your chef, and Karla, your hostess. Also helping in the restaurant is Norma, Patricia's sister.Peter studied the art of fine cuisine in the norther region of Italy, in the city of Stresa near Lago Maggiore. From there he went on to learn about food preparation and presentation in the cities of Deauville and PAris, France. After several years working and gaining experience abroad. Peter decided to retrurn to New York and continue the tradition at Dante' s. His goal is to please your palate. The majority of our dishes are made to order. Please excuse us for any delay.
